As a Business Development Therapy Team Leader , you will:
- Abide by and demonstrate the company Mission - Vision - Values through
both behavior and job performance on a day-to-day basis.
- Provide the clinical leadership for care/services provided within the
Specialty and develops physician protocols for Specialty patients within
scope of practice, to ensure stated Specialty outcomes are achieved.
- Direct Specialty growth in revenue and profitability by focusing on
gathering marketplace Specialty information to assist the
Specialty/Rehab Director in assessing business opportunities. Support
the development of specific targets for growth using quarterly/annual
business/market plans and budgets.
- Prioritize Specialty target accounts and selects key customer
opportunities for partnership with physicians, facilities and payers.
- Conduct Clinical presentation of the Specialty with customers and any
other related marketing duties.
- Coordinate with Sales and location management/staff Specialty sales
activities, potential obstacles and new opportunities.
- Maintain relationships with referral/community sources, participates in
professional organizations and conducts care related programs.
- Collaborate with Clinical Manager to ensure the appropriate use of
physician protocols, assess Specialty capacity demands and availability
of Specialty credentialed staff. Provide counsel in the interpretation
of nursing/therapy standards and Company policies and procedures to all
levels of caregiver staff.
- Actively recruit/interview/orient Specialty team members, evaluates
their performance relative to job goals/requirements, coaches staff
recommending in-service education programs and ensures adherence to
internal policies/standards. Provide Specialty training/credentialing of
all Specialty team members as needed.
- Utilize train the trainer' opportunities related to the Specialty
and new clinical developments as an opportunity for self-development and
to support growth of the Specialty as required. Maintain current/ongoing
clinical knowledge through internal/external training programs, provides
interpretation of knowledge and direction to staff.
- Adhere to and participates in Company's mandatory HIPAA privacy program
/ practices and Business Ethics and Compliance programs / practices.
Qualifications
- Required education degree and licensure in the state (s) of practice
for either physical therapist, occupational therapist or speech language
pathologist with a minimum of three years clinical experience required
to include; home health, hospital or skilled nursing facility experience
in at least one of the following: Rehabilitation, Medical Surgical or
Sub-specialty Units such as Oncology, Endocrine, Orthopedic,
Cardiopulmonary, Gerontology or Neurology preferred.
- Experience leading an interdisciplinary care/rehabilitation team and
demonstrated awareness of individual discipline's roles and abilities
required.
- Experience in a community/homecare setting and in the Specialty of the
Team Leader role preferred.
- One year in a supervisory role generally preferred.
- Current CPR certification also required.
